ABOUT HEYMISH
In June 2023, while sitting at my desk at my part-time college job, I pondered over the fact that the underground music scene was dead. I had been making music under the alias ‘Twenyohthree’ for over half a decade and saw the underground scene change immensely over time.
My first attempt at Heymish Underground, from 2023 to 2024, revealed its successes and challenges. From hosting artist contests to creating weekly song release promotional videos, Heymish Underground became the hub for music promotion. In this place, anyone could receive the recognition they’ve been waiting for. I also began to dabble in YouTube documentary content, as well as try to stay consistent with my musical endeavors. Yet, trying to juggle all of these different avenues became draining. Something was just not clicking, and with working and going to school full time, Heymish was put on the back burner.
In June 2025, after I had finished Grad school, I knew there were no more excuses when it came to building the Heymish community. However, this time around I knew I needed a different approach. The Heymish Underground you see today is a reflection and combination of my love for music production, content creation, and business. It still strives to build a community of music creators and fans to revive an underground scene that’s been starving for more. Whether it’s with businesses or individual creators, Heymish also aims to be the go-to place for collaboration.
Thank you for coming along with me on this journey. I hope you can stick around.
